漸凍人是一種因運動神經功能受損，造成進行性肌肉萎縮的罕見疾病。
初期四肢軀幹等全身逐漸無力癱瘓、吞嚥困難，平均3-5年會進展至呼吸衰竭。
漸凍人疾病不會造成感覺神經或智能退化，病友形容自己是「望著天花板的人」。
透過ALS冰桶潑水挑戰活動，感受漸凍人身體逐步的麻痺感，
希望大家更認識漸凍人疾病，並且在能力內協助關懷漸凍人病友。

Thanks for the shout-out, Mayday, the "Little Takeshi Kaneshiro" in the rock band 'circle' will fulfil (my) promise, I see you!!!

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare disorder due to the degeneration of motor neurones leading to muscle atrophy.
In the intial stages, (patients) will feel numbness (lit. no energy) in their limbs, have difficulty swallowing, and on average, in 3-5 years this disorder will progress (until the patient has) breathing difficulties.
ALS will not result in the impairment of intellectual ability, & patients describe themselves as「people who stare at the ceiling」.
Through the ALS ice bucket challenge, (we) can feel the numbness in our body like how ALS patients feel it
(I) hope that everyone will have a greater understanding of ALS, and use their own abilities to help out and care for ALS patients as is possible.
